SIKORSKII, ALLA

ABOUT

Alla Sikorskii is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Her research focuses on symptoms and other patient-reported outcomes, and design and evaluation of interventions to improve these outcomes among people with cancer and other chronic conditions.

Dr. Sikorskii earned her M.S. in Mathematics from Kiev University, Ukraine. She then completed her Ph.D. in Statistics at Michigan State University.

RESEARCH

Dr. Sikorskii is a methodologist and statistician with two decades of experience in health research. Her program of research focuses on multiple symptoms that people with cancer and their informal caregivers experience, symptom measurement, and design and evaluation of supportive care interventions for cancer survivors and caregivers during and following cancer treatment. Dr. Sikorskii’s most recent work is devoted to the advance from traditional randomized controlled trials to the sequential multiple assignment randomized trials in order to test adaptive interventions tailored to individuals.
