ABOUT
Karen Kelly-Blake is Associate Director of Academic Programming and Associate Professor in the Center for Bioethics and Social Justice. Dr. Kelly-Blake is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine. Her research interests include health services research, clinical communication skills and training, decision aid development and implementation, chronic illness management, and health equity.
Dr. Kelly-Blake received both her Ph.D. and M.A. in Anthropology from Michigan State University.
RESEARCH
Dr. Kelly-Blake works with University of Michigan partners for the Primary Care Rural Screening Project (PCRSP). Through this project, Dr. Kelly-Blake helps with assessing a multi-level clinical intervention for patient navigator enhanced colorectal cancer screening in rural community primary care practice settings.
