ABOUT
Sophia Lunt is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her research investigates cancer metabolism and heterogeneity to inform personalized therapy approaches.
Dr. Lunt received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Princeton University and completed her postdoctoral training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
RESEARCH
The Lunt Lab focuses on understanding the role of metabolism in supporting cancer proliferation, heterogeneity, and metastasis. Dr. Lunt’s team combines powerful mass spectrometry, cell biology, and genetic models of cancer to investigate metabolic regulation in this complex disease. The goal of Dr. Lunt’s research is to rationally design more effective, personalized therapies for cancer-based on metabolic targeting.
