ABOUT
Borys Hrinczenko is an Associate Professor of Medicine in Division of Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Hrinczenko’s research focuses on evaluating new cancer therapeutics through clinical trials.
Dr. Hrinczenko earned his M.D. from The State University of New York (SUNY) in Brooklyn. He completed his residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, MN. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Kansas. Dr. Hrinczenko completed a clinical fellowship at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and a research fellowship at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Prior to joining MSU in 2009, Dr. Hrinczenko was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.
RESEARCH
Dr. Hrinczenko’s most recent clinical trial research has focused on the immunotherapy, Durvalumab, and evaluating the drug in the context of non-small cell lung cancer.
