ABOUT

Bill Henry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His research focuses on the transcription of human small nuclear RNA genes to understand the regulation of gene expression.

Dr. Henry received his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada and completed his postdoctoral training from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York. Dr. Henry is also the Associate Chairperson in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

RESEARCH

The Henry lab researches how the snRNA-activating protein complex (SNAPc) functions for snRNA gene transcription. The lab seeks to understand how SNAPc functions in transcription by both RNA polymerase II and III, and how SNAPc communicates with other factors dedicated to transcription by these polymerases.
