ABOUT
Ashly C. Westrick is an Assistant Professor Research in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics and an Assistant Scientist at Henry Ford Health Public Health Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding aging outcomes among cancer survivors.
Dr. Westrick received her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Miami and her M.P.H. in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. She completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
RESEARCH
Dr. Westrick investigates cognitive and functional aging of older adults with a specific interest in the long-term aging outcomes of cancer survivors. She approaches this research through a social epidemiological lens, exploring the influence of social determinants on disparities at the intersection of cancer and aging.
