ABOUT

Jayson Field is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology. Dr. Field focuses on minimally invasive robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery, open debulking of ovarian cancer, chemotherapy, and hormone treatments for women with gynecologic cancers.

Dr. Field earned his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Wayne State/ Detroit Medical Center and a fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Field practiced at William Beaumont Hospital in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology for 15 years prior to joining MSU.

RESEARCH

Dr. Field’s most recent clinical trial research involved the PARP inhibitor, veliparib, with adjuvant chemotherapy and as maintenance therapy with advanced ovarian cancer. He has also been involved in translational and clinical research in Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and its impact on cervical dysplasia and cancer; surgery for endometrial cancer and cervical cancer; and chemotherapy for ovarian and endometrial cancer.
